Wanganui accommodation is special when you stay at Bushy Park. The Homestead and stables were built one hundred years ago and have been beautifully maintained ever since. We have a range of accommodation available.

Accommodation in the Homestead can include bed and breakfast or all meals provided in our licensed restaurant. B&B guests can enjoy a continental breakfast or we can cook to your order. A breakfast on our huge east facing verandah overlooking miles of countryside to the city of Wanganui is a fitting start to the day. Homestead accommodation is six bedrooms.We have accommodation in the bunkhouse for up to eleven backpackers. Use your own sleeping gear or we can provide linen.

Accommodation is also available in Ernies room where guests can get the feel for servants accommodation in days gone by. Ernies room is one of our most requested accommodation areas.

All who visit are free to roam in our forest at any time. Our tracks are mainly easy and well marked and very safe. As a sanctuary to endangered native birds, you will see a range of birdlife you may not see anywhere else that you visit.

Day trippers are well catered for too. We offer a cafe with a range of food and hot beverages, with cold drinks available from our bar.  Or bring your own picnic and enjoy the rolling lawns and views.
